Peru’s varied terrain demands high reliability from commercial vehicle tires. This case study presents the six-month performance data and customer feedback for Forlander 11R22.5 D856, 295/80R22.5 FR818, and FR658 Plus tires, supplied through a Peruvian tire dealer to end-user fleets. These commercial all position tires were selected to address the diverse operating conditions across coastal, highland, and jungle routes.
II. Client Background
The client is a tire dealer based in Lima, Peru, serving small-to-medium fleets and owner-operators across coastal, highland, and jungle routes. Prior to Forlander, the dealer faced high complaint rates and rising replacement costs due to rapid tread wear under mixed road conditions. The dealer sought a more reliable product line to reduce complaints and improve customer retention.
III. Tire Configuration Solution
Based on axle-position requirements of end-user fleets, the dealer recommended three Forlander tire models:
Steer and trailer axles: 11R22.5 D856 – these 11R22.5 all position tires feature reinforced casing and 17.0 mm tread depth, suitable for mixed-surface operations.

IV. Performance Results & Technical Parameters for Commercial All Position Tires
After six months of operation, performance data for the three models are as follows:
11R22.5 D856: No irregular tread wear observed under mixed paved/unpaved conditions; wear uniformity improved over the previous brand.
295/80R22.5 FR818: Lower rolling resistance compared to the previous brand, with end-user fleets reporting approximately 4% fuel consumption reduction on highway segments. This 295 80R22.5 tire demonstrated consistent wear patterns across long-haul applications.
295/80R22.5 FR658 Plus: Traction performance on wet and loose surfaces met operational requirements for highland mountain routes.

V. Customer Feedback
The dealer’s technical service manager reported a 60% reduction in after-sales complaints for Forlander tires versus the previous brand, and a 20% increase in tread service life per end-user feedback. Both parties have established a long-term data-sharing mechanism, under which the dealer will regularly provide tread wear data and user feedback from coastal, highland, and jungle routes to Forlander’s technical team for product optimization. The dealer also plans to promote the 295/80R22.5 size on more trailer axles and evaluate broader drive-axle applications for the FR658 Plus.
